Bookkeeper
JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented bookkeeper with a passion for numbers and a proven track record in multi-organization accounting environments. The ideal candidate will be adept at problem-solving and maintain a positive attitude while managing complex financial tasks.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain general ledgers and record financial transactions for multiple organizations
- Reconcile accounts and ensure balance sheet and income statement accounts align with source documents
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare and file periodic sales tax returns
- Monitor and categorize expenses accurately
- Handle accounting department inquiries and route complex issues to appropriate personnel
- Assist with payroll processing and client billing as needed
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned
- 3+ years of progressive experience in multi-organization bookkeeping
- Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to explain complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders
- Team player with a customer service focus
- Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook
- Proficiency in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Familiarity with corporate tax accounting requirements
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Consistent, accurate, and timely completion of projects
- Exhibition of leadership skills and autonomy
